Professor Jun Liu received his B.S. degree in 2001 from Wuhan University and his Ph. D. in 2007 from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (CIAC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. After postdoctoral training at University of Würzburg (Germany), University of California, Los Angeles (USA) and Case Western Reserve University (USA) for five years, he joined CIAC as a principle investigator in 2013. He was a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Prof. Liu's research interest includes conjugated polymers for opto-electronic application and organic photovoltaic cells. He is the inventor of white light emitting polymers for organic light-emitting diodes, and the inventor of n-type polymer semiconductors containing boron-nitrogen coordination bond for organic solar cells.
