Dr. William Shafarman is Director of the Institute of Energy Conversion and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Delaware. He has been investigating materials and processing of compound semiconductors for their application in thin film solar cells and the characterization of photovoltaic devices using these materials with focus on CIGS and related alloys. He is author of over 200 publications and several book chapters and patents.
