Zhan’ao Tan is a professor in Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Soft Matter Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology since 2018, and he also works in Beijing Key Laboratory of Novel Thin Film Solar Cells, North China Electric Power University since 2009, and currently leads the Group of Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Devices. He received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry in 2007 from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and then came to Pennsylvania State University, USA, as a postdoctoral fellow working on semiconductor quantum dots based light-emitting diodes and photovoltaics from 2007 to 2009. His present research interests include polymer solar cells, semiconductor nanocrystal based optoelectronics, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells, and flow batteries
